Accessory Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new vehicle accessories to ensure quality meets Hyundai requirements and KPIs
• Install and remove accessories to evaluate fit, installation difficulty, and function
• Document processes with clear and concise technical reports
• Follow up with vendors and internal engineering teams to resolve quality concerns
• Monitor quality feedback from field reports, warranty claims, and consumer reports
• Author Quality Information Reports (QIRs) and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
• Validate reported quality issues and recommend courses of action
• Coordinate and track implementation of accessory program countermeasures

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Familiarity with vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
• Excellent technical report writing ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and photo editing software
• Ability to operate automotive test equipment (DVOM, SPL Meter, RTA, etc.)
• Valid California driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform mechanical assembly/disassembly

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or automotive)
• Previous automotive OEM experience
• First Aid/CPR Certification
