Access Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and commission access control systems including card readers, biometric devices, door controllers, and electric locks.
• Configure access control panels, controllers, power supplies, and associated hardware.
• Perform cable laying, conduit installation, cable termination, labeling, and testing.
• Integrate access control systems with CCTV, fire alarms, intercoms, and building management systems.
• Configure and test software, user credentials, access levels, schedules, and reporting functions.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and communication issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Prepare daily work reports, maintenance records, and commissioning documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
• 3–7 years of experience installing and maintaining access control systems.
• Proven experience working on Oil & Gas, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to work on-site at various project locations in Abu Dhabi.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours as project demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturer certifications such as Lenel, Honeywell, HID, Gallagher, Genetec, Bosch, or Suprema.
