Academy Soccer Coach

Responsibilities

• Develop U6-U12 youth soccer players in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the association
• Deliver quality soccer guidance and education to young athletes within the Y Soccer Academy program
• Conduct weekly organized training sessions focused on player development
• Participate in player evaluations and scrimmages to determine team placement
• Coach weekend league games and tournaments with an emphasis on teaching the game
• Conduct parent meetings to distribute season and team information
• Maintain positive relationships with players and parents through effective communication
• Lead and motivate staff and volunteer leadership

Requirements

• 1-5+ years of coaching experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver License with satisfactory driving record
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Base level to top level certification from a National Agency in a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college education
• Coaching experience in a high-performance senior environment or college environment (3-5+ years)
• Elite development experience
