Academy Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day sporting and administrative operations of the FC Cincinnati Academy
• Implement and maintain the Club’s player development methodology and game model
• Oversee curriculum planning, training periodization, and competition schedules
• Manage the Academy coaching staff, including hiring, mentorship, and evaluation
• Create and maintain a comprehensive coach education program
• Support player identification and recruitment efforts across local, regional, and international markets
• Ensure compliance with MLS, MLS NEXT, U.S. Soccer, and SafeSport regulations

Requirements

• USSF “A” coaching license or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years as a professional soccer player at a country’s highest level
• Minimum of 7 years youth soccer coaching experience
• At least 3 years of coaching experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass a SafeSport background check
