About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison for students on academic warning and academic suspension to develop success plans and provide coaching.
  • Provide proactive one-on-one academic advising, including course mapping, registration assistance, and degree audits.
  • Utilize Navigate Berea (EAB) and other institutional data to identify at-risk students and implement intervention strategies.
  • Act as a Summit Guide for the First-Year Summit program, providing instruction and support to student cohorts.
  • Plan and deliver academic success workshops and programming, such as registration and curriculum planning.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop students within the College's integrated Work College Program.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with FERPA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 4 years of experience planning and leading student academic success programming in higher education.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with first-generation college students with limited income.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in higher education or high school classroom instruction.
  • Familiarity with student tracking and intervention software such as EAB Navigate.
