About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage faculty-related HR affairs, including academic faculty recruitments, searches, and advancement actions.
- Oversee payroll entries via UC Path and handle transactions in Oracle Project One.
- Facilitate credentialing, onboarding, and visa processes (including amendments and timeline management) for the academic population.
- Develop departmental programming for employees and managers regarding performance, policies, and orientation.
- Support labor employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Provide guidance, training, and direction to site-specific staff at various clinical locations.
- Serve as a key resource for faculty and departmental leadership, liaising with UCSF Central HR and the Academic Affairs Office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 5+ years of related work experience (or equivalent experience/training).
- Advanced knowledge of University rules, regulations, and protocols for personnel management.
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including verbal/written communication, active listening, and counseling.
- Advanced knowledge of administrative operational activities such as payroll, accounting, and event planning.
- Advanced proficiency with University-specific computer applications.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and solve complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) for Human Resources transactions.
