About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate student academic progress from admission to graduation to ensure all degree requirements are met.
- Update academic advising reports (AAR) in response to program changes, course substitutions, or equivalency exams.
- Educate students on academic programs, university policies, procedures, and catalog interpretations.
- Support the admissions process by evaluating and posting credits and course equivalency determinations.
- Process final grades for graduating students and recalculate GPAs for honors and accreditation requirements.
- Produce degree verification letters and assist with registration, orientation, and commencement ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, organizational management, communication, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and experience with email, internet, and imaging systems.
- Experience in advising or direct student interaction with the ability to troubleshoot student issues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with non-traditional credit sources such as military guides (ACE) or national exams (CLEP/DANTES).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience using SIS Campus Solutions.
- Experience working with various software solutions or participating in software implementations.
