Academic Engagement Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Promote student academic success and professional development by managing resources, processes, and events for the Office of Academic Engagement.
• Manage office administration for the College of Arts & Sciences, including faculty recruitment, onboarding, and travel processing.
• Oversee purchasing, budget management, and event coordination.
• Assist with course scheduling and support the Academic Director in enforcing faculty policies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of clerical, office, or administrative experience (or an Associate’s degree in a related field with equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple programs, meet deadlines, and solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in higher education or a multi-campus university system.
• Knowledge of Washington State University policies, procedures, and course scheduling.
• Experience with WSU administrative systems such as myWSU and Workday.
• Experience working with student records and maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of pedagogical approaches or collegiate research practices.
