Academic Department Director of Spanish and Literature

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of the Formative Educational Model within the department, ensuring faculty develop transversal competencies.
• Oversee the accurate and timely recording of student evaluations and grades.
• Select and recruit inspiring, innovative, and updated faculty members aligned with institutional guidelines.
• Manage group assignments by optimizing faculty talent and student experience.
• Design, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary academic and innovation projects.
• Participate in academic meetings, student recruitment, and retention activities.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues and participate in educational research and dissemination.
• Maintain constant updates in the field of knowledge, didactic techniques, and educational tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Titulado) in Hispanic Letters, Communication, or Dramatic Literature and Theater.
• Master's or Doctorate degree (Titulado) in Education or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level, verifiable via testing).
• 4 years of experience teaching at the high school (bachillerato) level.
