Academic Dean

Responsibilities

• Drive excellence in teaching and learning through pedagogical innovations, including online and blended learning solutions.
• Oversee undergraduate and graduate program planning, development, and academic integrity.
• Hire, manage, and develop academic staff and faculty to achieve institutional goals and maintain high standards of teaching.
• Foster a culture of academic excellence, respect, and trust in alignment with brand values.
• Integrate Emirati hospitality identity and traditions into the curriculum and faculty training.
• Manage campus teaching and learning activities, including team leadership and budget oversight.
• Network with the hospitality industry and establish strategic partnerships with Emirati leaders to enhance student employability.
• Lead accreditation efforts and ensure compliance with all required academic standards.
• Monitor student academic progress, satisfaction, and employability outcomes.

Requirements

• PhD in hospitality or a related field.
• 5-10 years of academic managerial experience (e.g., Dean, Associate Dean, or Academic Director) at the university level.
• Proven experience in the UAE educational sector with familiarity with MOHESR, CAA, ADEK, and KHDA regulations.
• Professional experience working within the hospitality industry.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with multicultural teams in an international environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the UAE or the wider GCC region.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and pragmatic approach to academic management.
