About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic, career, and success advising to professional students within the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Manage a caseload of over 150 students to ensure they meet curriculum and ACPE standards
  • Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment to support the transition of PharmD applicants to admitted students
  • Utilize advising and counseling techniques to support students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with students, faculty, and staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Experience providing academic and career advising, success coaching, or case management in higher education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other database or spreadsheet software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work outside regular business hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
  • Experience working with Doctor of Pharmacy or Health Sciences programs
  • Working knowledge of academic success, career development, and retention strategies
  • Experience using student records databases and higher education software
  • Strong public speaking skills for delivering presentations to students and stakeholders
