Academic and Career Success Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized academic coaching to help students develop academic plans, set goals, and improve study skills.
• Offer career guidance, including resume writing support, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Design and deliver workshops and seminars on academic success and professional development.
• Monitor at-risk students and provide timely outreach and referrals to appropriate support services.
• Maintain detailed records of student interactions, achievements, and progress using data management systems.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to foster a cohesive support system.
• Teach University 101 courses as assigned by the Academic Engagement and Student Success department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in academic advising, career counseling, or student support services.
• Strong knowledge of academic planning, career exploration, and job search strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations.
• Proficiency in educational technology and student information systems.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with data analysis to assess the impact of coaching interventions.
