About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive career counseling, including resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Deliver holistic academic advising to undergraduate students regarding general education, electives, and major-specific requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and classroom presentations on career readiness and academic success.
  • Evaluate academic records and interpret academic audits to support timely degree completion.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and various university departments to integrate career development into the student experience.
  • Extract and analyze data from Banner and Cognos to report on advising and retention outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of specialized academic and career programming.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Counseling, Business, Education, or Liberal Arts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Banner Information System and Cognos.
  • 3 years of career advising or related professional experience.
