About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the unit’s administrative processes and daily operations, focusing on continuous improvement and streamlined procedures.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure alignment with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
- Manage and organize office data, including maintaining accurate records, documentation, calendars, and databases.
- Execute confidential office and student/faculty support tasks, utilizing a deep understanding of academic policies and procedures.
- Support faculty-related processes such as syllabi review and the observation and evaluation process.
- Maintain graduate data regarding NCLEX-RN success, professional development, and employment to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate unit-wide communications via phone, mail, email, and in-person visits.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for meetings, appointments, and events for the unit and the Dean.
- Oversee departmental purchasing processes, including requisitions, payment requests, travel, and office supply inventory.
- Assist the Dean with budget monitoring, expense tracking, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- One year of professional experience in higher education OR three years of responsible administrative experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Previous administrative experience working at a Community College.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
