Academic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to facilitate successful educational planning and degree completion.
• Manage a designated student caseload through proactive outreach, support, and education.
• Monitor degree audits and academic plans for accuracy and graduation readiness.
• Provide information regarding curriculum, policies, procedures, and academic program guidelines.
• Support students through educational transitions, including orientation, transfer, and graduation.
• Evaluate student needs and provide appropriate resource referrals.
• Support students related to academic alert, probation, and suspension.
• Utilize student success technologies for outreach and maintain accurate advising records.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain consistent academic program information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 0-1 year of student service or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• One or more years of student advising services experience.
• Experience working with competitive majors or selective admissions programs.
• Experience in graduate student service or leadership roles.
