About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage an active caseload of students from admission through program completion, providing academic and professional planning.
  • Monitor student progress and implement communication plans to support persistence, retention, and graduation.
  • Provide guidance on academics, experiential learning, and academic difficulty using an appreciative advising model.
  • Design and deliver student support programs, including workshops and webinars.
  • Maintain accurate student records and track engagement using Salesforce or Navigate.
  • Assess and report on student data related to retention, graduation rates, and satisfaction.
  • Process academic paperwork including changes of major, transfer credits, and graduation petitions.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, FERPA, SEVIS, and other university and federal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in academic affairs, student services, HR, or corporate recruiting.
  • Proven experience in a service or leadership role such as an advisor, counselor, coach, or customer service professional.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM/tracking platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with adult learners, international students, or online learners.
  • Industry knowledge in an in-demand workforce domain.
  • Experience with the Banner mainframe database system.
  • Professional certifications in related fields (e.g., MBTI, career certifications, PMI, APR).
