Academic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Assist students throughout their journey from initial enrollment to graduation
• Provide personalized academic advising, goal setting, and academic planning
• Advise students on course selection, educational opportunities, and university policies
• Track and record student interactions and monitor academic progress using advising systems
• Participate in committees, special projects, and university events
• Identify root causes of student issues and refer them to appropriate university resources

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1 year of experience in academic advising or related experience
• Ability to sit for extended periods for desk and computer tasks
• Proficiency in using computers and navigating software
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of advising experience or related role within higher education
• Experience providing counseling or support to students
