Academic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and support to a caseload of students
• Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and retention indicators
• Conduct regular outreach via phone, text, email, and meetings
• Assist students in developing academic success plans and overcoming barriers
• Collaborate with faculty, admissions, financial aid, and student services
• Maintain accurate student records and document advising interactions
• Counsel students regarding academic policies and graduation requirements
• Identify at-risk students and implement intervention strategies
• Support orientation, registration, and student engagement initiatives

Requirements

• Associate's degree required
• Experience in academic advising, student services, education, or case management
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information systems
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
