Academic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive student advisement services for undergraduates within an assigned academic vertical.
• Support students throughout the entire duration of their undergraduate career.
• Collaborate closely with faculty, Department Chairs, Associate Deans, and Directors to maximize student support.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and information.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to meet student needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, database software, and web navigation.
• Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel between the Metro and Florham campuses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a higher education environment (student advisement, records/registration, admissions, or recruitment).
• Proficiency with the Colleague university database system.
• Experience with Canvas X16 graphic design program.
