AC and Refrigeration Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for AC systems, including DX units, air handling units, and building-automation systems
• Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment such as beverage systems, ice-delivery systems, and walk-in refrigerators/freezers
• Read and interpret technical schematics and maintenance manuals to ensure accurate repair and replacement procedures
• Manage assigned workloads using the computerized maintenance management system (MAXIMO)
• Coordinate with other skilled craftsmen and building trades to complete complex repairs
• Research vendors and suppliers to order necessary parts

Requirements

• Experience in restaurant refrigeration maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R principles and the handling of refrigerants
• Universal technician certification as required by 40CFR part 82 subpart F
• Ability to use specialized trade tools including refrigeration gauges, vacuum pumps, electrical testers, and volt meters
• Ability to read and trace technical schematics
• Availability to work various shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), including nights, weekends, and holidays
