About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the head of a document review section within Land Court registration
  • Examine conveyancing instruments and other legal documents
  • Issue Certificates of Title and memoranda of encumbrances
  • Make final independent judgments and decisions regarding the issuance of Certificates of Title
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support Land & Natural Resources operations

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of general experience in preparing, reviewing, or extracting information from legal documents or records related to real property ownership or transactions
  • Three (3) years of specialized experience in examining and analyzing real property ownership records and documents to determine and evidence title
  • At least one (1) year of specialized experience comparable to the Abstractor VI level
  • Two (2) years of formal supervisory experience, including planning, organizing, directing work, training subordinates, and evaluating performance
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
