About the role
Responsibilities
- Investigate non-conformances reported by the Quality group and evaluate manufacturing deviations.
- Create engineering dispositions supported by drawings, sketches, and international standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to resolve operational or engineering issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Stress, Manufacturing, Production, and Aerodynamics.
- Work with production support groups such as Methods, Quality, and Logistics to resolve aircraft issues.
- Coordinate with international MAP offices to ensure client requirements are accurately addressed.
- Mentor new MRB candidates through on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of MRB/MAP experience in commercial/business aircraft OR 8 years of Aerospace design experience.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to relocate to or commute to Mobile, Alabama.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanics of materials, stress analysis, and composite materials.
- Experience in aircraft structure (Airframe) design or stress design offices.
- Capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after training.
