777/777X Landing Gear System Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions for customer issues regarding landing gear rolling stock, braking systems, and extension/retraction systems
• Provide system troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause determination for landing gear component issues
• Collaborate with suppliers and design engineering to analyze reliability data and resolve system issues
• Analyze flight and operational data to resolve landing systems concerns
• Respond to incoming customer service requests with robust and timely technical dispositions
• Support the development of technical documentation, including service letters, drawings, specifications, and manuals
• Participate in on-site Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) activities to restore aircraft to serviceable condition
• Assist in developing troubleshooting and repair procedures to return airplanes to revenue service

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences focus)
• 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA
• Willingness to work off-shift schedules, including occasional weekends, to support 24/7/365 fleet operations

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience (Level 3)
• Experience in Landing Gear systems design and troubleshooting (Wheels, Brakes, Tires, or Hydraulic actuation)
• Experience developing or using aircraft maintenance documents
• Background in Airline Maintenance Operations
• Knowledge of Boeing Communication Systems
