4PL Area Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned 3PL/4PL partners, conducting site visits to inspect operations and ensure SLA compliance.
• Coach and support partner teams of 30–100 people, enforcing Flexport policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Manage forecasting and capacity planning by sharing SNOP forecasts with partners and aligning labor plans with projected demand.
• Oversee performance reporting and serve as the escalation point for operational issues and troubleshooting.
• Review and approve 3PL/4PL invoices for accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Help define and document the 4PL operating model, including escalation paths and performance standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5 or more in a fulfillment, warehouse, or 3PL environment.
• Valid passport and a willingness to travel to partner sites, including international locations.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Proven ability to hold external partners accountable and communicate effectively in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Background in 3PL/4PL vendor management or multi-site operations oversight.
• Experience building SOPs or operational processes from scratch.
• Experience in international logistics or supply chain management.
