About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, leadership, and recruitment for the 4-H Youth Development Program in Pacific County
  • Manage and recruit volunteers to support program goals
  • Lead outreach efforts and coordinate educational programming for 4-H youth and volunteers
  • Develop and implement programs and activities in alignment with WSU Extension policies and 4-H guidelines
  • Collaborate with public agencies and community partners to enhance program reach

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., social sciences, education, human development) and two years of related program experience
  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Knowledge of or experience with 4-H youth development programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet departmental driving standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, and overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for public speaking and report preparation
  • Experience with program assessment and evaluation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating with diverse populations across various social and economic backgrounds
  • First Aid and CPR certification
