3D Print Optimization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of SLA and SLS 3D printing platforms
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluid dynamics, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, and thermodynamics
• Design efficient experiments to isolate variables within complex systems
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems to improve print speed, reliability, and accuracy
• Develop and commercialize solutions that directly impact customer print performance

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in a science or engineering discipline
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• Experience with root cause analysis and experimental design
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to cross discipline boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding experience, ideally with Python
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD)
• Understanding of material properties and characterization
• Experience participating in the release of a new product
