About the role
Responsibilities
- Push the capabilities of SLA and SLS 3D printing platforms
- Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluid dynamics, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, and thermodynamics
- Design efficient experiments to isolate variables within complicated systems
- Tackle multi-disciplinary problems to improve print speed, reliability, and accuracy
- Develop and commercialize solutions that directly impact customer print performance
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in a science or engineering discipline
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to cross discipline boundaries
- Experience with root cause analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding experience, ideally with Python
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD)
- Understanding of material properties and characterization
- Experience participating in the release of a new product
