3D Print Optimization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of SLA and SLS 3D printing platforms to improve speed, reliability, and accuracy
• Drive root cause analysis across multiple disciplines including mechanics, fluid dynamics, chemistry, optics, and thermodynamics
• Design efficient experiments to isolate and understand variables within complex systems
• Develop and commercialize solutions that provide immediate impact on customer print performance
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems by crossing boundaries between hardware, software, and materials

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in a science or engineering discipline
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• Experience with root cause analysis and experimental design
• Hands-on approach to solving technical challenges with great attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding experience, ideally with Python
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD)
• Understanding of material properties and characterization
• Previous experience participating in the release of a new product
