About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate academic support services by overseeing math shop operations, including tutor supervision, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Collect, analyze, and report student performance data to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to improve student engagement, retention, and success in first and second-year mathematics.
  • Partner with faculty, advisors, and campus support services to align academic support with curriculum and enhance the student experience.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate tutors to ensure high-quality support services and efficient program operations.
  • Ensure FERPA compliance and maintain accurate records management while promoting program services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • One or more years of relevant experience in higher education, student support services, academic advising, tutoring, or program coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard administrative systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in mathematics, education, higher education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching or supporting college-level mathematics.
  • Knowledge of developmental education reform and co-requisite models.
  • Experience designing or assessing academic support programs.
