1st Assistant Golf Professional

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Golf Professional in managing day-to-day golf operations and supervising staff, including outside services, starters, and rangers.
• Manage tournament operations and weekly events, including planning, course set-up, scoring, and post-tournament billing.
• Conduct individual golf lessons and group clinics for players of various skill levels.
• Provide club repair and club fitting services.
• Assist with inventory control of hard goods, including ordering, receiving, and sales displays.
• Maintain a credible golf game and stay current on teaching innovations.

Requirements

• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to member satisfaction.
• Fundamental knowledge of the rules of golf, facility operations, and tournament management.
• Proven experience providing golf lessons to individuals of all levels.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• PGA membership or active pursuit of the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) program.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required.
