Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections of structural elements in building projects throughout Dubai
  • Verify compliance with local building codes, regulations, and approved plans specific to Dubai and the UAE
  • Identify structural defects, safety hazards, and non-compliant work
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records using data management systems
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary
  • Stay updated on local building codes, international standards, and industry best practices
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Organize and prioritize inspection tasks to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and structural integrity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural inspection or related field, including at least 3 years with a Consultant
  • In-depth knowledge of Dubai and UAE building regulations
  • Proficiency in structural inspection techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills for report writing and data management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay organized in fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations in Dubai
  • Familiarity with international structural inspection standards
  • Adaptable to changing project requirements
  • Valid UAE driver's license
  • Physical fitness to navigate construction sites
