Senior Transport Planner / Modeller - Abu Dhabi STEAM Model

Responsibilities

• Carry out and support transport modelling, master planning, and impact studies.
• Use industry standard software such as Cube Voyager, PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro, HCS+.
• Lead and manage small to medium scale transportation planning projects.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise junior colleagues’ workloads.
• Prepare presentations and reports for clients and authorities.
• Participate constructively in project teams and ensure quality outcomes.
• Travel locally within the UAE and regionally to neighbouring countries when required.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of experience in transportation engineering and planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Good understanding of transport planning and modelling principles.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi STEAM Model.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Excellent technical writing and English communication skills.
• Good understanding of project management techniques.
• Ability to deliver technically and ensure quality assurance/control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in a professional society such as CIHT, ICE, or TPS.
• Eligibility for chartership/certification/license (P.E., P.Eng., CEng, Chartered Transport Planner, or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and Planning.
• Awareness/working knowledge of Aimsun.
• Experience with GIS packages such as ArcGIS.
• Experience with statistical tools and database packages.
• Road safety experience.
• Technical/commercial proposal preparation.
• Arabic language skills.
• Previous Middle East / GCC experience.
