Senior Structural Engineer - Site

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering aspects of complex construction projects from design to completion
• Conduct on-site structural inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, and drawings for various building types and infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Prepare and present technical reports, structural analyses, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
• Stay updated on industry trends, innovative construction techniques, and local building regulations
• Implement and maintain safety protocols on construction sites
• Participate in business development activities and client meetings as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
• Relevant structural engineering certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on on-site roles
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
• In-depth understanding of building codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, AISC)
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven experience in construction supervision and on-site problem-solving
• Familiarity with local building regulations and standards in the UAE
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and geotechnical engineering principles
• Detail-oriented approach and strong commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
• Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status
• Experience in large-scale building or infrastructure projects within the UAE or Middle East region
