Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the client’s program or progress report
  • Ensure the Client’s compliance with the Contract Documents
  • Inspect all workmanship and material
  • Coordinate the supply of vertical and horizontal controls for the client
  • Make layout checks online and grades
  • Coordinate with other clients and contractors
  • Maintain all file records on designated forms (workforce, equipment, progress, safety, etc.)
  • Review and approve shop drawings
  • Oversee soils and materials testing per contract requirements
  • Ensure contract administration and authorization of changes
  • Approve final materials submittals
  • Certify progress payments
  • Evaluate costs for variation and change orders as per contract
  • Review requests for compensation and time extension
  • Prepare and review Variation Orders for all ‘Additional’ and ‘New’ works
  • Compile monthly progress and safety reports, including meetings and safety reviews
  • Assess costs and credits due to the client and recommend actions
  • Inspect and follow up on construction safety violations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 20 years of infrastructure engineering experience
  • Project management skills (budget & schedule)
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Dubai building codes and regulations
  • Excellent technical report writing and communication
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as reasonably required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, especially bridges and underpasses
  • Strong infrastructure development and quality control experience
