Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead key elements of site-based post contract delivery in Abu Dhabi
  • Achieve high professional competence in dealings with clients and professional contacts
  • Manage procurement and tendering processes
  • Integrate with key members of the design and client team
  • Assist in claims evaluation
  • Prepare financial updates and monthly cost reports
  • Assess and value progress payments and change requests
  • Review and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data
  • Prepare earned value reports and cash-flows
  • Estimate variation orders for contractors/subcontractors
  • Evaluate and negotiate variations and change orders with relevant teams
  • Finalize accounts settlements

Requirements

  • QS or Engineering degree or similar equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with large scale projects
  • High level of English literacy skills
  • Knowledge of industry best practices
  • Experience in cost and contract management techniques
  • Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts
  • Proficient with cost management software programs
  • Ability to present confidently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential project data
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload

Preferred Qualifications

  • MRICS desirable
  • Experience in various building projects
  • Familiarity with budget management and change control
  • Experience working in large, dynamic teams
  • High level of professionalism, initiative, and creativity
