Senior Engineer - Planning

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite planning and scheduling support for construction project packages in Dubai, UAE.
• Conduct detailed review, analysis, and monitoring of contractor, subcontractor, and utility procurement/construction programmes.
• Work closely with contractor planning teams to monitor and amend baseline programmes as required.
• Generate progress reports, critical path analyses, and graphs for monthly and weekly submissions to the Project Management Consultant (PMC).
• Identify and report risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to maintain project completion targets.
• Compare actual progress against the programme and report findings to the Senior Resident Engineer.
• Conduct site workshops and independent site visits to assess progress.
• Support Senior Quantity Surveyor in reviewing programme risks and opportunities for additional works and variations.
• Maintain programme monitoring records to assist with contractor claims and variations.
• Assist during negotiations, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes for the PMC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years’ experience in road construction or related fields
• Experience with Primavera planning software
• Must be willing to work onsite in Dubai, UAE
