Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed civil, structural, utilities, and landscape drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other approved drafting software.
  • Develop and maintain as-built drawings based on site surveys, inspection data, and mark-ups from the supervision team.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Convert conceptual sketches and engineers’ mark-ups into precise CAD drawings.
  • Organize and manage drawing files for efficient retrieval and version control.
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and document control teams to ensure updated and accurate drawing information.
  • Incorporate comments from reviews, inspections, and authority feedback into revised drawings.
  • Liaise with the design office to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries.
  • Provide technical drafting support during inspections, meetings, and design discussions.
  • Adhere to established drafting standards, layers, and naming conventions.
  • Conduct self-checks and peer reviews before drawing submission.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of as-built drawings before project handover.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years drafting experience, with at least 5 years in UAE infrastructure, roads, and bridges projects.
  • Strong knowledge of utilities, road layouts, and bridge structural drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation (latest versions).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Drafting or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Dubai authority standards and submission requirements (DEWA, DM, RTA, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
