Senior Architect - Landscape

Responsibilities

• Contribute to practice strategy, develop innovative design processes, standards, and methodologies for project delivery.
• Understand complex customer/market needs.
• Contribute to project outcomes and coordinate team delivery and resourcing as agreed with Director and clients.
• Manage, coordinate, and lead smaller, less complex landscape design projects independently.
• Clarify project roles and responsibilities within teams.
• Prepare deployment based on provided fee for senior team review.
• Lead client meetings and take ownership of deliverable structure/content.
• Interpret and apply graphic standards to projects/design tasks.
• Determine governance, sustainability standards, construction standards and regulatory guidelines per region; deliver technical reports and guidelines.
• Participate in internal/external workshops and prepare summary outcome reports.
• Lead design teams for workshops and client presentations.
• Deliver designs and technical landscape packages independently.
• Coordinate technical inputs across disciplines and ensure compliance with authorities’ requirements.
• Fulfill planting and irrigation standards per regional guidelines.
• Provide updates for weekly studio/resource meetings.
• Gain on-site experience and resolve key issues with senior team support.
• Support bid preparation: technical approach, methodology, delivery structure, commercial aspects.
• Organize internal libraries and update project sheets.
• Develop innovative digital design solutions.
• Advocate for quality procedures and conduct self-checks and reviews before sharing deliverables.
• Review documents per PDS deliverable (QA/QC checks).
• Enhance standards of developed graphics (diagrams, Photoshop, Lumion renders) and document for wider team use.

Requirements

• 12+ years in landscape architecture
• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
• Project management experience
• Digital design tools
• Technical report writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
• Professional membership (ASLA, Chartership Landscape Institute, CSLA, AILA, SILA, IFLA or equivalent)
• Experience with parametric modeling, BIM
