Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the client’s programme or progress report
  • Ensure the Client’s compliance with the Contract Documents
  • Inspect all workmanship and material
  • Coordinate the supply of vertical and horizontal controls
  • Make layout checks on line and grades
  • Coordinate with other clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain all file records on designated forms (workforce, equipment, progress, safety, etc.)
  • Review and approve the Client’s shop drawings
  • Oversee soils and materials testing as per contract documents and specifications
  • Hold responsibility for contract administration and not relieve Client responsibilities without authorization
  • Manage final materials submittals and approval
  • Check and certify progress payments to the Clients
  • Verify personnel, equipment, and material costs for all Variation and Change Orders
  • Review requests for additional compensation and time extensions
  • Prepare Variation Orders for all ‘Additional’ and ‘New’ works
  • Prepare the monthly report
  • Conduct site safety monitoring, reviews, and incident reporting
  • Determine costs of additions or credits and recommend appropriate action
  • Inspect safety conditions and inform Client of violations and required actions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (roads & bridges)
  • Proficiency in project inspection and contract administration
  • Familiarity with Middle East construction standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with similar large-scale projects in the Middle East
  • Advanced knowledge of construction safety regulations
  • Previous experience with international consulting firms
