Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure and road projects
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasting costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze contract documents and prepare tender packages
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with contractors and suppliers
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
  • Monitor project costs and report on variances
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports for project stakeholders
  • Assess and value variations and claims
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to optimize project costs
  • Stay updated on local construction regulations and standards in the UAE

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS, AACE)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for infrastructure and road projects
  • Experience working in the Middle East, preferably in the UAE
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and road construction processes
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
