Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services through concept, schematic and detailed design phases, including measurement, cost planning, and production of Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for construction projects.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents.
  • Contribute to value engineering and viability studies.
  • Assess, evaluate, and make recommendations related to financial claims and settlements.
  • Manage change including variations, additional works, field changes, and update monthly cost reports.
  • Prepare and price Change Orders, negotiate agreements with clients and contractors.
  • Conduct viability studies and cost estimates.
  • Support negotiations, arbitration, and other dispute resolution.
  • Work primarily from the Dubai Head Office with occasional travel throughout the UAE to client or site offices as required.

Requirements

  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Quantity Survey degree
  • 10+ years MEP post-qualification experience
  • Excellent English literacy
  • Working knowledge of industry practices
  • Deep understanding of MEP quantity surveying, especially pre-contract services
  • Good understanding of measurement/billing software
  • Computer literacy and excellent communication skills
  • MRICS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Middle East experience
