MEP Senior Engineer (Mechanical) - Buildings

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment)
• Ensure all mechanical work meets required standards and specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and professionals for issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety, and environmental guidelines
• Address and resolve on-site mechanical issues, making adjustments as necessary
• Prepare progress reports for clients and stakeholders, highlighting deviations and solutions
• Maintain records of site activities (logs, reports, change orders)
• Liaise with clients to understand needs and ensure satisfaction

Requirements

• Significant site experience in estimation, installation, and all mechanical-related site activities for large-scale building projects
• Familiarity with mechanical engineering methodologies, equipment, materials, tools, and manpower allocations for building projects
• Proficient in interpreting and executing mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of related authorities' requirements
• Experience in high-rise residential and commercial buildings; strong background in start-up, execution, and handover of major projects
• Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience in supervision and project administration of mechanical works for large Middle East projects (consulting industry)
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced postgraduate degree and membership of a recognized institution (PE/Peng, CEng, etc.)
• LEED GA or AP certifications (MEP discipline)
