Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Perform survey work under the direction of the Senior Highway Surveyor.
• Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points, including reference ties for field re-establishment.
• Record all measurements, rod readings, and calculations accurately and neatly in field books.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s surveyor regarding work priorities and schedules.
• Check all work by completing traverse closures and bench circuits.
• Report discrepancies or technical issues to the Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Participate in joint measurements for work completion or payments.
• Maintain surveying equipment and conduct frequent calibration checks.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering or Survey.
• At least 7 years of work experience in construction supervision or related roles.
• Strong experience in expressway construction and supervision.
• Skilled in construction of interchanges and intersections.
• Capable of using modern computer software and survey equipment.
• Knowledge of existing networks in the Emirates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant university or college qualification in Civil or Survey.
• RTA / DM Approval is preferred.
