Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of water infrastructure works, including ductile iron and HDPE pipe installations, valve chambers, thrust blocks, and related fittings.
  • Ensure water-related construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, authority standards (e.g., ADDC, ADWEA, DEWA), and safety requirements.
  • Verify proper bedding, alignment, jointing, backfilling, and pressure testing of pipelines.
  • Monitor and report progress of water network installations and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Review and verify method statements, ITPs, material submittals, and shop drawings relevant to water works.
  • Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) for deviations from specifications or poor workmanship.
  • Coordinate with contractors and utility authorities for inspections, approvals, and tie-ins.
  • Assist in daily reports, site photographs, and inspection records.
  • Ensure redline markups and as-built information are correctly updated by the contractor.
  • Report any safety violations or quality concerns to the Resident Engineer or Quality Engineer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in similar projects
  • Minimum 3 years UAE experience
  • Relevant experience in structural & roads projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE experience preferred
  • Previous involvement in comparable water infrastructure projects
