Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and supervision of Roads and Bridges works to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Be familiar with contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and related updates.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources.
  • Carry out all site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Liaise daily with contractors to monitor health, safety, resources, and equipment on site.
  • Prepare daily reports including work orders, materials delivery, and inspection programs.
  • Follow up and implement site instructions from the RE or SE.
  • Enforce quality controls and site procedures.
  • Carry out site measurements and surveying checks for Bridge work and associated structures.
  • Coordinate with client project managers during inspections.
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and keep relevant records.
  • Support the SE and RE in preparing project correspondences.
  • Assist in resolving site issues quickly.
  • Oversee start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works while maintaining project milestone records.
  • Maintain and audit records of material tests and executed work for conformity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience on similar projects, with at least 3 years in the UAE
  • Experience in structural and roads projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction supervision, site inspections, and quality control
  • Proficiency in maintaining site records and preparing reports
  • Knowledge of RTA Approval processes (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior RTA Approval for projects in Dubai
  • Demonstrated experience with Roads and Bridges projects in the UAE
  • Experience with international engineering consultancy firms
  • Strong communication and site coordination skills
