Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with project contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including updates.
  • Ensure contractor’s compliance with standards and specifications of the contract documents.
  • Maintain records of contractor human and equipment daily resources.
  • Undertake site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure management of resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on-site.
  • Prepare daily reports to the RE or SE (work orders, materials delivery, inspections program).
  • Follow up and implement any site instructions made by RE and SE.
  • Apply and implement all site quality controls and procedures.
  • Prepare site measurements and surveying checks for Bridge work and associated structures.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with the client project manager during their inspections in the presence of the RE or SE.
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
  • Assist SE and RE in the preparation of correspondence in compliance with contract documents and site requirements.
  • Promptly resolve site problems with RE or SE.
  • Monitor start-up, commissioning and handover of site works, maintaining milestone records.
  • Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works.
  • Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar projects
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in UAE
  • Experience in structural and roads projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE experience preferred
  • RTA approval preferred
