Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with the project’s contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures including updates.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with standards and specifications of contract documents.
  • Maintain records of contractor human and equipment daily resources.
  • Undertake site supervision and inspections when required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Liaise and follow up daily with the contractor to ensure health and safety, resource, and equipment needs are managed.
  • Prepare daily reports to the RE or SE, including work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs.
  • Follow up and implement site instructions made by the RE and SE.
  • Apply and implement all quality controls and procedures on site.
  • Prepare site measurements and surveying checks for bridge work and associated structures.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with client project manager during inspections.
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain records.
  • Assist SE and RE in preparation of correspondence compliant with contract and site requirements.
  • Promptly resolve site problems with RE or SE.
  • Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, including milestone records.
  • Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works.
  • Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years UAE experience
  • Relevant experience in structural and roads projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA Approval (Dubai Roads & Transport Authority) preferred
  • UAE local project experience
