Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure contractors comply with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Coordinate daily with teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of contractor work.
  • Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, and take necessary actions.
  • Read and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Track and maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment resources.
  • Supervise and inspect site activities as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Document personnel, equipment, observed activities, locations, and methods used.
  • Report on materials delivery and implement site instructions, quality controls, and procedures.
  • Conduct site measurements and surveying as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with quality, performance, and code requirements.
  • Oversee Health and Safety aspects and report violations.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of basic mechanical design requirements.
  • Familiar with HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Protection, Water Supply methods and installation.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Experience in high-rise, mixed-use, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality buildings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Competent in writing clear and concise reports in English.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years total experience in mechanical projects and construction supervision with a consultancy.
  • Diploma in Engineering required; progression to Engineer level requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Good team player with high energy and work ethic.
  • Safety conscious, able to work under pressure and solve problems professionally.
