Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspect site conditions prior to start of construction activities and verify compatibility with designed permanent works.
  • Check for obstructions and document pre-existing property conditions.
  • Ensure protection of all existing structures, property, utilities, and landscaping.
  • Review materials delivered to site for conformance to approved samples and report findings.
  • Monitor proper storage of materials and report discrepancies.
  • Inspect temporary and permanent works for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings.
  • Prepare daily logs, reports, and maintain detailed inspection records.
  • Observe site safety practices and work progress, reporting concerns as needed.
  • Assist in inspection of completed works, preparation of punch lists, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Review RFIs and variance requests from contractors; provide recommendations and comments.
  • Read and enforce working drawings and specifications; produce relevant reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field
  • 5+ years in materials testing and field inspection (roads/infrastructure/bridges)
  • Ability to read and enforce specifications and drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA/DCL approval
  • Middle East experience
  • Relevant experience with comparable roads and bridges projects
