Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspect site conditions prior to the start of construction activities and verify site compatibility with designed works.
  • Check for obstructions, document and photograph any existing property that might be affected, and ensure proper protection of structures, utilities, and landscaping.
  • Review materials delivered to site for compliance with approved samples, materials, and equipment; report findings and discrepancies to the Resident Engineer (RE).
  • Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure contract and drawing compliance.
  • Prepare daily logs and reports; maintain records of inspections, tests, and work execution according to procedure manuals.
  • Monitor site safety practices and work progress; report any concerns to the RE.
  • Assist in inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists, and oversee start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Review RFIs and requests for variance from contractors and provide recommendations.
  • Read and interpret working drawings and specifications, enforce requirements, and produce relevant reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in laboratory materials testing, including field inspection of materials.
  • Relevant experience in roads and bridges projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RTA/DCL approval.
  • Experience working in the Middle East.
